Ingredients:
1 teaspoon (5 ml) good quality natural salt, non-iodised (available in most health-food stores!)
1 litre sterilised/purified water (for once, reverse-osmosis is ok - you’re not going to drink the stuff!)
- Dissolve the salt into the water, and use it to wash the piercing wounds. It’s going to burn (it’s salt!) but should keep the wound nice and clean at a fraction of the cost of bought saline solution.
- Remember to wash your hands before you do this exercise and try not to touch the piercing jewellery at all!
- Afterwards, pat the wound dry with toilet or absorbent kitchen paper.
*I cleared this with my piercer, so I am ok with recommending it to others!
