I have 3 big goal setting dates in a year.  The first and obvious one is towards the end of December, setting goals for the new calendar year.  Just about everyone I know does that, and those goals as a rule barely last through January!  The second big goal setting date is towards the end of August, setting goals for the business’ fiscal year.  Those are more solid and last longer.  However, the goals that are cast in concrete are the goals I set every November, on my birthday.  They get catalogued, blogged, affirmed and done!  So a lot has to be said for written, public goals that are affirmed regularly!  I also only set 5 goals a year.  That way I keep them attainable.

My goals for the 33rd year of Tessa van Niekerk are:

• Gain back my slim! Weigh 60 Kg by the end of June 2009! Get the weight down, keep it down and look like a million €uros! This is a project worth blogging and I shall start doing that shortly.
• Clear away the last of my debt! Be completely debt free by the end of this personal year.
• Resign my library job in favour of a position more closely related to what I’m qualified for!
  • Teaching English in Taiwan
  • Doing public relations work for big corporations on a freelance basis
• Be able to put down a deposit on a plot @ Port Nolloth
• Fix up the Beetlebug for my regionwide tour in 2010!
